Lola Lefran\u00e7ois, (born 1997, Saint-Agr\u00e8ve, France), is a French artist cur\u00adrent\u00adly based in New York City. Inspired by her child\u00adhood in Auroville, India, she chal\u00adlenges the his\u00adto\u00adry of West\u00adern land\u00adscape paint\u00ading and its dom\u00adi\u00adnant gaze on nature and ani\u00admals. She received her BFA from \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon in 2019 and her MFA from the City Col\u00adlege of New York, (CUNY) in 2023. Since then, she has active\u00adly par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpat\u00aded in res\u00adi\u00adden\u00adcy pro\u00adgrams such as the Art Cen\u00adter Res\u00adi\u00adden\u00adcy LMCC (2025-ongo\u00ading), Ander\u00adson Ranch (2025), the Canopy Pro\u00adgram (2025), ChaNorth (2024), Mon\u00adson Arts (2024), the NARS Foun\u00adda\u00adtion Pro\u00adgram (2024), and the Rockel\u00adla Res\u00adi\u00adden\u00adcy Pro\u00adgram (2023). Lefran\u00e7ois has held solo exhi\u00adbi\u00adtions at Kate Werble Gallery, New York City, NY (2025), Cour\u00adt\u00adhouse Gallery, Lake George, NY (2025), and Comp\u00adton-Goethals Gallery, The City Col\u00adlege of New York, NY (2023). Her work has been exhib\u00adit\u00aded in group shows at venues includ\u00ading NARS Foun\u00adda\u00adtion, Brook\u00adlyn, NY (2024); Comp\u00adton-Goethals Gallery, The City Col\u00adlege of New York, NY (2023); Fes\u00adti\u00adval \u00c9VA\u00adsions des Arts, Vil\u00adly-en-Aux\u00adois, France (2020) ; and \u00c9cole Nationale de Musique, Danse et Art Dra\u00adma\u00adtique, Lyon, France (2019). <\/p>\n\n\n
